For results 40 online B2B talks one of the importers from Saudi Arabia visited Ukrainian confectionery companies to continue cooperation

As of 15 September 2021 Ukrkondprom Association within the VTrade Confectionery Foods initiative organized the first 40 online B2B negotiations between Ukrainian confectionery manufacturers and potential importers and distributors with CSR.

According to the results of these online B2B negotiations, from 4 by 10 September 2021 importer from Saudi Arabia – sales manager of Myyar trading company – Mohammed Sami Hamil Magyou together with a representative of the Ukrkondrom Association – Oleksandr Baldyniuk visited Ukrainian confectionery producers: "Yarich", Kharkiv Biscuit Factory, "Forest Tale", "Zhytomyr delicacies" and "Petrus-Confectioner" ("World of delicacies"). 

During a visit to Ukrainian confectionery manufacturers, Mohammed Sami Hamil Magyou got acquainted with the process of confectionery production and product range, types of packaging and labeling, and discussed the terms of delivery of confectionery to Saudi Arabia.

Why Ukraine is losing the Belarusian market

Ukrainian goods may finally lose the market of neighboring Belarus.

Indicative, that this problem was not caused by political sanctions, and the desire to give preference to domestic automakers in the Ukrainian market. Ukraine has applied a special duty at the level 16,08% to the Belarusian import of rods and 35% to the import of motor vehicles.

In response, Belarus imposed restrictions on Ukrainian exports.

These restrictions have been in force for two months, and during this time the Cabinet of Ministers has not taken any decisions to resolve the dispute. And no new markets have been found, as promised by government officials.

Consequently, in the Belarusian market, Russian goods are easily replacing Ukrainian ones. And here the forecasts are bleak.
