
Today, 6 August 2019 year, enters into force the Law of Ukraine "On information for consumers Food", which establishes the general principles and requirements of food information, including, on their marks, and obligations regarding operators bringing these data to consumers.
The requirements of the new law will apply not only to food producers at all stages of production and circulation, but food, intended for the end user, including such, which are sold in catering establishments. According to the Law of Ukraine about a food product must be accurate, accurate and understandable to the consumer and must not mislead regarding the characteristics, properties, the food. This requirement will be distributed as advertising of foodstuffs, and the method of distribution and presentation of food for implementation, particular form, appearance, packing.

This year on January 4
the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, signed the Law "On Information for Consumers on Food Products", which was approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on 6 December 2018 year (registration number of the bill 8450) effective the day after its publication, and entered into force after 6 months after publication.
