Medico-biological requirements and sanitary norms
the quality of the food materials and food

PART I
1. General provisions

These medical-biological requirements are intended to contribute to the improvement of food quality, improvement of normative and technical documentation on them, improve diets and health promotion.

Medico-biological requirements includes: criteria for nutritional value and safety criteria for selected groups of food products.

They are intended for use in:
– development of a new regulatory and technical documentation for food raw materials and food products;
– revision or reapproval of regulatory and technical documentation for food raw materials and food products;
– planning food production and consumption;
– procurement of import;
– the implementation of state sanitary supervision over the compliance of foodstuffs and food raw materials health standards;
– development of recommendations on rational nutrition;
– implementation of departmental quality control of food raw materials and food products.

In accordance with the objectives of the document consists of five parts: 1 – general part, 2 – debiting the organoleptic properties of the products, 3 – criteria for nutritional value, 4 – safety criteria, 5 – hygienic requirements for products for specialized food healthy and sick infants. Allocation of these products in a particular group due to the presence of specificity for their nutritional value and safety requirements.

Besides, herein are definitions of terms used, as well as the general provisions on the procedure for its implementation.
