Ukraine began investigating Kazakhstan restrictive measures on imports of caramel and chocolate

Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine launched an investigation to establish the facts of discriminatory actions by the Republic of Kazakhstan on Ukrainian confectionery enterprises, which deliver to this country karamelni and chocolate products. According to UNIAN available to the document, Minister asks Ukraine State Customs Service until mid-May to provide statistics on exports to Kazakhstan Ukrainian caramel and chocolate products for the period 2005-2012 years.

Investigation of an application association "Ukrkondprom" from 9 April this year. As UNIAN reported earlier, in September 2011 Kazakhstan was introduced customs duties available 3 years on imports of confectionery products to protect the internal market. For the importation of other confectionery and sugar substitutes, containing cocoa, provides duty of 39% of customs value, but at least 0,42 EUR per kg before Russian Federation (from 4 July 2011 year) introduced a special duty on caramel, imported into the customs territory, also available 3 years.
