Parliament abolished the incentive tariffs for electricity from biogas

Ukraine news. Parliament abolished the Law, which previously carried the biogas to alternative energy sources and stimulating imposed tariffs on electricity production from it (“Feed-in tariff”).

For support for the proposals in President. Yanukovych rejected adopted Law on voting 235 People's deputies. According to the President, enactment of the relevant law could adversely affect the safety grid.

As previously reported, In. Nalozhyv Yanukovych veto the Law of Ukraine “On Amending Article 17-1 Law of Ukraine “On Power” concerning improvement of electricity tariff, produced from biogas”, biogas which has been classified as alternative energy sources and incentives were introduced tariffs for electricity production from it.
