MOZ by order of 16.07.2020 N 1613 approved Rules for adding vitamins, minerals and some other substances to food.

The approved Rules regulate the procedure for adding vitamins, minerals and certain other substances to foodstuffs in order to ensure a high level of protection of the health and interests of consumers, to implement the provisionsArticle. 1516no. 2 Article. 37 Of the Law “On the basic principles and requirements for food safety and quality”.

Action Rulesis spreading at all food market operators, regardless of ownership, who carry out economic activities, associated with food production.

New requirements for the content of contaminants in food



WITH 4 February 2021 year in Ukraine will be the rules, who have proven their safety, efficiency and operate in Europe more 14 years.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has approved updated state sanitary rules and regulations on the maximum permissible levels of certain contaminants in food (order №1238 from 22 May 2020 year).

The order comes into force through 6 months from the date of its official publication, except for certain indicators, for which an additional 3-year transition period is established.

It should be emphasized, that on the conviction of business, this will primarily eliminate trade barriers, as the value of indicators will be harmonized with EU countries, including, regulated norms for the amount of nitrates in some types of lettuce (rocket, etc.); the amount of mycotoxins in nuts, etc., which will allow their import from EU countries.

Approved methods of sampling to determine the levels of mycotoxins in food during the state control

Entry into forceMinistry of Agriculture of the order 22 May 2019 , the number 264 "On approval of the sampling method for determining the maximum permissible levels of mycotoxins in foods for the purposes of state control" (registered in the Ministry of Justice 12 June 2019 by the number 608/33579).

Methods developed to meet the requirements of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) Number 401/2006 of 23 February 2006.

The adoption order will implement the same for state veterinary inspectors, accredited laboratories and operators sampling methods to determine the maximum allowable levels of mycotoxins in foods for the purposes of state control.

The law came into force Ukraine “On the basic principles and requirements for organic production, circulation and labeling of organic products”

The new law sets requirements for organic production by sector, its circulation, labeling and sale, and a mechanism for certification of organic production.

Also introduced keeping registers operators, certification bodies, organic seeds and planting material. Openness and accessibility of these registers will enable citizens, the subjects of the market of organic products, market participants, other stakeholders get up, reliable information on the organic market operators, certification bodies, eligible for certification of organic production and / or treatment of organic products, and the presence in Ukraine of organic seeds and planting material.
